Privacy policy
This site compares wine tours out of Cape Town, from full-day runs through Stellenbosch, Franschhoek and Paarl to short Constantia tastings inside the city itself. There are no accounts, no forms and no checkout. Whatever you read here, you read anonymously.
What this site collects
A single analytics package runs across these pages, and it records nothing that could single you out. It counts page views, groups visits by rough country, notes the browser type and logs clicks on outbound listing links. That click data is the useful part: it tells us whether a reader chose a Stellenbosch, Franschhoek and Paarl day trip or stayed inside the city for a Constantia tasting. No accounts exist here. There is no sign-up, no booking form and nothing to buy, so your name, email address and payment card simply never reach us.
Third-party scripts
The analytics service drops a small cookie to count visits. If a page pulls in an embedded map, that request goes out to the mapping company at load time, and any cookies it sets fall under the mapping company's own policy rather than this one.
Booking a Winelands trip means leaving this site. Follow a listing and you land on the live booking page, where the operator's systems and cookies take charge. We have no access to that data, and the platform's own terms apply from the moment you arrive. Winery and operator sites linked from these pages work the same way. For details on how those arrangements work, the disclosure page explains it in full.
What never happens
- Sell, rent or trade your data, full stop.
- Load advertising networks, retargeting pixels or cross-site tracking beacons anywhere on the site.
- Ask for an email address. There is no newsletter and nothing to subscribe to.
- Handle money or reservations. Your card is charged, your tram seat is confirmed and your wine tasting is booked entirely on the operator's page, under their payment systems and their cancellation terms.
- Run a message form. The contact page lists a plain mailto link, so anything you write travels through your own email account and never sits on a server we control.
Hosting
The site sits behind Cloudflare, and that network keeps the ordinary server logs that any host keeps: IP addresses, request times, error codes, used for blocking abuse. Nobody combs through those logs trying to attach identities to readers or build profiles of who read which tour page.
Your choices
Run a script blocker, tighten tracking protection or open a private window, and the analytics here stops working. Nothing breaks. Every page, from the Franschhoek wine tram comparisons to the Constantia half-day write-ups, still reads normally with JavaScript off. If you would rather not visit us at all, skip straight to the source: the disclosure page names the booking platforms directly, so you can reserve your Stellenbosch or Paarl day trip through them without ever passing through this site.
Question about any of this? Send an email. How this site is paid lives on the disclosure page.
